- 5 / 5By Melissa RobersonI went there one weekend while visiting Newport and I thought the place was great. Their music was awesome and the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. It is by far the nicest bar/ club that I have ever been to in Newport. We had checked out two other places (the bar at our hotel and Moby Dick's) before finally staying at Apollo's. The other reviews made me laugh. This place is not dark or dangerous. It is very clean and well kept. Maybe if you're from the backwoods and you think of Newport, OR as the big scary city. For most of us, Newport is small little community and this is a great place to visit while you're there. Great music, fun dance club environment, great staff!!!February 07, 2017
